1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ScanCrypt ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users of the App.

2. Description of Service

ScanCrypt is an Android application that provides document scanning, PDF editing, file management, and related productivity tools. The App offers both a free tier (ad-supported) and paid Pro plans (ad-free with full feature access).

3. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ScanCrypt for personal and commercial productivity purposes on your Android device(s), subject to these Terms.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App's source code or binaries
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to develop a competing product
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose

4. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• The documents you scan, edit, and manage using ScanCrypt
• Ensuring you have the legal right to scan and process any documents
• Not using ScanCrypt to process, reproduce, or distribute copyrighted material without authorization
• Keeping your device and scanned files secure
• Complying with all applicable local, national, and international laws

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use ScanCrypt to:

• Create fraudulent documents, forgeries, or counterfeit materials
• Process documents containing illegal content
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to circumvent the App's purchase verification or licensing systems
• Interfere with the App's functionality or security features

6. In-App Purchases & Refunds

ScanCrypt offers the following paid plans:

• Pro Lifetime: A one-time purchase granting permanent Pro access. Pricing varies by region.
• Annual Pro: A recurring subscription providing Pro access for one year, auto-renewing unless cancelled.

All purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy. We do not process refunds directly — please contact Google Play support for purchase disputes.

Pro features are tied to your Google Play account and can be restored on any device using the same account.

7. Advertising

The free version of ScanCrypt displays advertisements through Google AdMob. By using the free version, you consent to the display of advertisements. Purchasing a Pro plan removes all advertising from the App.

8. Intellectual Property

ScanCrypt, its name, logo, design, code, and all content are the exclusive property of CryptonStudio and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property other than the limited license to use the App as described herein.

Your documents remain your property at all times. We claim no rights over any content you create, scan, or process using ScanCrypt.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

ScanCrypt is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• OCR or document processing results will be 100% accurate
• The App will be compatible with all Android devices or OS versions
• Any defects in the App will be corrected

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CryptonStudio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of documents or data resulting from App use
• Corruption of files processed by the App
• Any loss arising from reliance on OCR or PDF processing results
• Interruption of service or App unavailability

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CryptonStudio harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Updates and Changes

We reserve the right to:

• Update, modify, or discontinue the App or any features at any time
• Change pricing for new subscriptions (existing subscribers are not affected during their current subscription period)
• Modify these Terms at any time with notice via the App or this page

Continued use of the App after changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and ScanCrypt regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
